DIVINATION BY THREE COINS:
(With Chinese coins tails have two characters
heads have four characters)
Heads is 2, Tails is 3.
Shake the three coins and throw them down.
Count the result.
You will get a total of 6, 7, 8 or 9.
The first line at the bottom is thrown first,
Then the second line, then the third, then the fourth, then the fifth
and finally the sixth at the top.
Line 1: Throw the coins and add the result.
Heads Heads Tails
2 + 2 + 3 = 7
If the total of the three coins is 6 or 8 then it is a broken line.
If the total of the three coins is 7 or 9 then it is a solid line.
If the total is 6 then it is a broken line that is about to change.
It is drawn with an x in the centre
If the total is 8 then it is simply a broken line but it is not about to change.
If the total is 9 then it is a solid line that is about to change.
It is drawn with an O in the centre
If the total is 7 then it is simply a solid line but it is not changing.
Throw line 1 first: Heads Heads Tails
2 + 2 + 3 = 7
Then line 2: Tails Tails Tails
3 + 3 + 3 = 9
Then line 3: Tails Tails Tails
3 + 3 + 3 = 9
Then line 4: Tails Heads Tails
3 + 2 + 3 = 8
Then line 5: Heads Heads Heads
2 + 2 + 2 = 6
Then line 6: Heads Tails Tails
2 + 3 + 3 = 8
Line 6: 8 =
Line 5: 6 =
Line 4: 8 =
Line 3: 9 =
Line 2: 9 =
Line 1: 7 =
